Southampton University เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียงมากทั้งในระดับโลก และก็เป็นที่รู้จักในประเทศไทยเช่นกัน มีคณะเด่นหลายๆด้าน โดยเฉพาะด้าน Engineer ที่ขึ้น Top 10 เกือบทุกสาขาเลยทีเดียว นอกจากนั้น ด้าน Business Management, Marketing และอื่นๆ อีกเยอะ ตัวมหาวิทยาลัยตั้งอยู่ห่างจากตัวเมืองมาทางด้านเหนือเล็กน้อย แต่การเดินทางสะดวกสบาย เพราะมี Uni Link วิ้งอยู่ทั่วเมือง บรรยากาศของเมือง Southampton เป็นแบบสบายๆ (แต่เรียนหนัก)- One of the top 20 research universities in the UK .
